Phase 1: Situation

Let’s look at the first three verses of Nehemiah and how he conducted his situational analysis.

Nehemiah 1:1-3 (NKJV) The words of Nehemiah the son of Hachaliah.

It came to pass in the month of Chislev, in the twentieth year, as I was in Shushan the citadel, 2 that Hanani one of my brethren came with men from Judah; and I asked them concerning the Jews who had escaped, who had survived the captivity, and concerning Jerusalem. 3 And they said to me, "The survivors who are left from the captivity in the province are there in great distress and reproach. The wall of Jerusalem is also broken down, and its gates are burned with fire."

What Nehemiah learned in just a few sentences was a situation analysis of the financial, operational and spiritual environment of the remnant in Jerusalem.

Phase 2: Revelation

Read carefully what Nehemiah did upon hearing the devastating news surrounding the situational analysis.

Nehemiah 1:4 (NKJV) “So it was, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned for many days; I was fasting and praying before the God of heaven.”

The next several verses in Nehemiah Chapter 1 paint a beautiful picture of how he repented, reminded the Lord of His promises over Israel, and requested specific solutions for the people.

What did Nehemiah actually do?

He immediately went into four months of strategic intercession!

During this intense, focused time, what he received was truly a divine download of the massive blueprint God had already created awaiting for His anointed co-laborer, to boldly step into the throne room and get it!

This is the key to divine business solutions - to inject in between your situational analysis and your activation plan a phase of focused, active strategic intercession. This takes your business prayers into a much higher, more profound and powerful level of revelation.

Phase 3: Activation

In God’s perfect timing, Nehemiah got the opportunity to share the divine plan with the king (Nehemiah 2:1-8). God had placed so much favor upon Nehemiah, the king granted everything Nehemiah requested, literally everything God had pre-ordained as His supernatural solution to this massive marketplace problem.
